Happiness is an All-Day Pass to USS!

Yay!!! We finally made it to USS! Our day didn't start great because we forgot to change our money to SG dollars. We had to wait for the money changer to open at 10 AM. But that's okay because the important thing is... we're here!!!
Oct.15-19, 2015
[Malaysia-Singapore trip]
Tucked in the beautiful island of Sentosa, Universal Studios is a theme park that promises cutting-edge rides and attractions both for the young and the young at heart.
We were so excited! The huge crowd and the long line even at the platform for the tram made us more giddy!
According to research, this was constructed back in 2008 and had its grand opening in May 2011. This theme park is located within Resorts World Sentosa, so before you get to the park itself, you get to enjoy these:
The Lake of Dreams which comes alive at night hosts a 15-minute light and water show with water jets, lasers and flame bursts.
We also spotted another merlion- a more colorful one and then there's also the sweet treats from Candylicious.
According to www.rwsentosa.com:
Candylicious is a vibrant 9,000 square feet concept store representing fantasy, joy and irreplaceable childhood memories. It combines candy and the world of imagination into a hip and fashion-forward candy store. With walls and aisles featuring endless varieties of sweets, the young and young at heart will find it hard to leave this candy heaven.
Hurray! We got tickets. Sweet!
Upon entering, everything just seemed vibrant, happy and festive. There were so many people on the day that we visited but we didn't mind. I bet they were all just as pumped up as we were.
There are Seven Zones inside the theme park. One is the Hollywood Boulevard.
Enthralled by the Hollywood-inspired stores, we continued to trot along the walk of fame and then we saw Minions! We were not really a fan of the movie but we were so happy to see them and we fought our way to get a decent picture. But no..so..off we go to
New York! New York! This is where you can see the city's familiar landmarks and you also get to see the closest thing to a production set.
There's also the zone with all the autobots: Sci Fi City. Hopefully there are no decepticons here ;P
The very long wait was very well worth it. We had our first 4D experience with the Transformers. Man! That was great!!! We enjoyed it very much!!
 Next zone is Ancient Egypt.
The carefully crafted statues, pillars and the overall design made us feel that we were truly in ancient Egypt.
We hurriedly went inside to see what awaits us. I can't tell you exactly what's inside because you deserve to experience it first hand. All I can tell you though is this: we didn't get to see the actual ride. The expression on my fiance's face says it all.
The phrase "sudden drop" on the caution board did not sound all that well to him. Despite my protest..we made our way out faster than when we went in. Booo!
He tried to appease me with this little ride called Treasure Hunters which was inspired by 'The Mummy'.
Thank goodness there's this!! I'm not sure if it is classified as an actual 'zone' in USS but this is definitely a place to be.
Welcome to WATERWORLD!
This is where you can witness live breathtaking stunts, explosions and pirates that kick a**! We were so thrilled with the show they have here. That pirate lady sure knows what she's doing. Great job!
The zone that we got to visit next was the castle of Far Far Away...
Before we searched for our next ride, we decided it best to fill our hungry tummies first.
We found this little cafe (I forgot the exact name) and had some refreshments.
Not long after, we are back on our feet and continued on. We encountered a huge crowd gathered around some characters performing to what sounded like "I like to move it move it".
Yay! We found the characters from the movie Madagascar dancing and interacting with the crowd.
After their performance we were lucky enough to get a photo with king julien.
We made our way to ride the Crate Adventure. This is where you get to experience a river boat ride inside the Madagascar world.
You guys should try this ride. It's the best! Hahahaha!
After a long but very exciting day, we deserve to chill like Marty. See you next time USS!
