After our all terrain vehicle adventure to the lava landing of Mt. Mayon we grabbed our quick lunch at the Colonial Grill in Pacific Mall. The story of what we ate will be unraveled in a separate post of course!
Immediately after lunch we went straight to the Grand Central Terminal to find a van that will go to Naga, CamSur. Yes! We were heading to the famed CamSur Watersports Complex. I was so pumpled up about the idea of wakeboarding and so were my friends. Oh the minutes we spent waiting for the van to fill-up was just agonizing. We wanted to get there already. Mind you, the trip was worth 2-hours so by the time we were on the road, we mananged to dozed off. We were a bit worn out from our gruelling ATV experience this morning so we had to recharge for yet another activity. Two hours passed by so quickly that we arrived in Naga at almost 4:00 in the afternoon. We alighted at the highway and the driver told us we need to ride the tricycle to get inside the complex. So we did and after a few minutes..
all set and geared up for the second adventure of the day--on our first day! Yes that's how we like to travel.
We can do this! Let's go!
It was just about sunset when we got to CWC which was perfect because it's not too hot. Look at that picturesque view of Mt. Isarog at the background...so beautiful. Plus the cool breeze of the late afternoon and the adrenaline of wakeboarding for the very first time...makes my stomach flutter! waaaah! We sat down on the platform first while we listened to the short briefing of the guides on how to wakeboard.
And then there was this guy who was wakeboarding from the pro lake and he was just awesome!
After briefing's done, we are now ready. Well at least my friends are. I chose to sit back a bit and observe them all first.
Bend your knees and straighten your arms..sounds easy..
keep your toes up and don't pull the handle
hmmm.....looks doable..
darn! my friends are good!
only a few wipeouts at the beginning but they were very quick to catch on. So...
I think I'm ready..
I'm all set. I own this.
I can do this.
Well.............................................not really.
I barely moved from the starting point. But I did not give up so easily...
I dusted myself off and tried over and over again even if it was already dark..even if I almost consumed all the water in the park and even if all the muscles in my body were sore...I did not give up. Finally...
about the time when the park was about to close (kidding! they close at about 10pm and this was around 7ish).. I finally balanced myself on the board and made it through both sides. Hallelujah! Just when I finally got it right, I couldn't get a decent shot because it was so dark already. Oh well. What matters is.. I did it!!!!
These super happy kids enjoyed their first wakeboard experience soooo much!!!
Thank you CWC! Until our next visit!
